Ask Us About Our  DEXIS DIGITAL XRAYS!

Greener, Safer, and Wonderfully Diagnostic!

We're so glad that you have come to visit us.  Let us tell you a little about ourselves and about the things we do...

  • Dr. Josephsen was born and raised right here in West Caldwell, N.J.    In fact, he is a graduate of St. Aloysius Grammer School, and the Montclair Academy Preparatory School.
  • He holds a Cum Laude Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire,    and holds his D.M.D. degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University here in New Jersey.
  • His Residency in General Dentistry was done at St. Josephs' Hospital and Medical Center, where he was awarded a second year and served in the prestigeous position of Chief of Dental Residents.
  • For many years, he continued on as an Attending Staff Physician at St. Joseph's, as well as an Attending Staff Physician at the North Jersey Developmental Center, and serverd on the Faculty of Hospital Dentistry of the Dental School at F.D.U.

But we haven't stopped there!  As a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, he is a 2005 recipient of the Fellowship Award  within the Academy.  This was the culmination of  many hours of formal continuing education, as well as the successful completion of the required seven hour fellowship examination.

"This is a wonderful time to practice the art and science of dentistry, and to be able to help our family of patients.  Our goal is to educate and to help our patients select what treatment is right for them, and to help them sort out all of the options from the avalanche of dental advertising and marketing information that is out there.  Just because it is on the radio or TV or you see it in print, doesn't necessarily make a particular treatment right or wrong for everyone.  Dentistry is not something to be packaged, marketed, and sold.  In our practice, we like to make friends and treat everyone like family ..."

Dr.J

There is no substitute for experience, integrity, and personal service...

We are tucked away on the corner of Harrison Avenue and Orton Road here in West Caldwell, where the office has been located since our predecessor, Dr. Roger Post, opened his practice almost forty years ago.

As Dr. P. was retiring in 1984,  Dr. J. was completing his Two Years of Hospital Residencies, and he's been here ever since.

We are not a big, glitzy, multiple-doctor office, where you might see different staff and different dentists all the time.    That's just not our style.    Our office here at 31 Harrison Avenue  is where good old fashioned caring and traditional values meet tomorrow's new and exciting methods, treatments,  and technologies.  Our staff wants to make this the cleanest, most caring, and most efficient practice that you can find.

And by the way, you won't see any touched-up, stock  photos of annonymous third-party models on our website.  All of these pictures and stories featured on our website are real, and all treatment was actually completed by Dr. Josephsen right here in our office.  In fact, we've designed and written all of the content of this website ourselves...  Of course, all information about our patients remains completely confidential at all times!

Contact us at APJAY@AOL.COM The photo above is of one of our patients after the completion of anterior ( front teeth ) VENEERS.   Isn't her smile wonderfully natural... note the delicate subtlety of color and shape...can you even tell?  And isn't that the way that dentistry should be ?
